Park Ji-soo is doing her best to prepare for the season.
Cheongju KB has been a dominant force in the WKBL for the past few years. 굿모닝토토 도메인As recently as the 2021-2022 season, they won the regular season and championship with a devastating performance. They added a solid shooter in Kang Isul (180 cm, F) to their already strong roster.
Last season, however, KB suffered a blow to its pride. Injuries to key players hampered KB, especially the loss of their pillar, Park Ji-soo (196cm, C). Park played in only nine games last season. Coupled with injuries to other players, KB finished with a 10-20 record. They failed to make the playoffs.
Reflecting on last season, Park said, “Personally, it was a tough time. It’s a year I’d like to forget. However, there were some things that helped me. I think I was thinking more about how to live my life.”
Park Ji-soo’s determination was different as she had a disappointing year. “I want to show a different side of myself from last season. First, I need to be healthy. My biggest goal is to play in every game. I want to give the fans a good time, and the biggest pleasure is winning. (Laughs) I’m doing my best to achieve that goal.”
“I want to stay healthy and win back my individual awards. (Laughs) I want to make it a memorable season. There are still a lot of things I need to work on. It’s a process of putting things together. I think I can have such a season,” she added.
Meanwhile, Park Ji-soo has been busy this off-season. She participated in KB team training and competed in both the Asia Cup and Asian Games with her national team. “Honestly, it’s hard physically,” Park said. I need to improve my physical strength. It’s been a while since I’ve been training. I don’t have much time left, but I will do my best to prepare for the season.”
KB’s departure ceremony was held on the 21st. Starting with a practice game, he interacted with fans through various events, including special performances, Q&As, and fan signings.
When asked about this, Park laughed and said, “I think this is the first time I’ve met fans after the season. It’s been a long time. So it was even better. We had practice games and events, so it felt like a season. The event went on until late. I was surprised and thankful that they stayed until the end,” she said, showing her affection for her fans.
