Jeonbuk Hyundai filed an official objection regarding the ‘violation of substitution regulations’ in the game against Pohang Steelers.
On the 29th, Jeonbuk said, “We raise an objection in accordance with Article 33, Paragraph 2 of the Federation Competition Regulations in relation to the Pohang match in the 35th round of K League 1 held on the 28th. In accordance with the relevant regulations, we have completed the receipt of an official objection requesting 1) Pohang’s 0:3 forfeit loss and 2) post-expulsion disciplinary action against Kim In-seong and Shin Kwang-hoon.”
Jeonbuk pointed out the primary problem with the substitution of Kim In-seong and Shin Kwang-hoon in the 26th minute of the first half of this game and the subsequent participation of the two players in the game. The second referee made a substitution decision to replace No. 7 Kim In-seong and bring in No. 17 Shin Gwang-hoon. The same was recorded in the replacement table and official record sheet.
However, No. 7 Kim In-seong remained on the ground and Shin Gwang-hoon was brought into the stadium. An incident occurred where a player who was supposed to be substituted out and a player who was substituted played at the same time.
After a while, Jeonbuk’s coaching staff raised questions to the game director and the assistant referee. Afterwards, Kim In-seong and Shin Kwang-hoon remained on the pitch for about 6 minutes before the referee ejected Kim In-seong from the stadium.
Accordingly, Jeonbuk said, “In accordance with the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 3, Player Substitution Procedures of the International Football Association Board (IFAB) Game Rules 22/23 published by the Korea Football Association (KFA), Kim In-seong and Shin Kwang-hoon are players who are not ‘eligible to participate in the match.’ “I participated in the game as a player,” he claimed.
According to Article 33, Paragraph 2 of the game regulations, if an ineligible player is discovered to be playing during the game, the game shall continue, but the player shall be ejected. Jeonbuk raised an objection to the fact that no such action was taken that day.
In addition, Jeonbuk added, “In accordance with Article 33, Paragraphs 2 and 4 of the Professional Football Federation’s Game Regulations, our club requested Pohang’s 0-3 forfeit for the participation of ‘unqualified players’ in the match.”
Jeonbuk said, 굿모닝토토 도메인“The player replacement procedure, which is the most basic and important principle in the game rules and regulations, is an issue that cannot be handled lightly. Accurate decisions are needed for the K-League’s status. “I hope the Professional Football Federation makes a wise decision,” he emphasized.
